MOK NAA - A KUANTAN DELIGHT

If you a food freak, this a place to go! MOK NAA...just outside Kuantan, over the bridge to Tanjung Lumpur. Need to make a U-turn back to Kuantan.

A small gerai but you will know it because there's rows of cars parked by the side and the crowd!. I have bumped into friends from KL and even Johor in this stall. You will meet all kinds of people here: Malays, Chinese, Indians, Rich, Poor, etc.....It has been here for a while. I have known  the owner for a long time, more than 20 years! So, I guess I can call my self an expert of Mok Naa's dishes.

Sadly, the shop cannot grow as the space is limited. There's always a long queue. Once you get to a table, you may need to clean the table yourself. Limited staff! Workers are also difficult to get! NO FOREIGN WORKERS yet!!!

What to look for? The menu getting longer by the day! You have keropok losong, ikan goreng (fresh fish), udang goreng, tembosa, akok, otak otak( different from the Johor version) and lists goes on. To me, its an istituition by itself. You can learn how they roll up the keropok, how they cook, and how to eat them! Very interesting.
Great afternoon snack. You'll do things here which you will not do at your dining table!!!!

But as for cleaniness, please don't visit if you are a hygine buff!. And as for weight watchers or even health conscious guys , this is not the place to pay homage!

Someone ask me to rate the places I've eaten so here goes!

FOOD : 8/10 (hot from the kuali)
SERVICE : 5/10 (not enough workere!

Persoalan timbul dikalangan rakan rakan bahawa gambar No.1 telah di"doctored" supaya ianya menjadi gambar no.2

Saya tak tahu mana yang betul, mungkin juga penganjur telah mengubah backdrop dari No.2 ke No.1.

Tapi yang pasti ianya tetap menghina Islam dengan acara acara yang diadakan. Bacalah sendiri!!!

 

Tapi apa yang saya katakan memang benar, orang Melayu masih lagi menunding jari ke arah orang Melayu yang lain (Lihat gambar bawah yang disebarkan melalui internet). Kenapa kita tak salahkan bangsa lain! Kita terus berbalah, Tak sedahkah bahawa:

1. Kerajaan Pahang dibawah Barisan Nasional, Menteri Besar dari UMNO.

2. Ahli Parlimen adalah dari Pakatan Rakyat, Orang Islam.

3. ADUN adalah beragama lain dari Barisan Nasional.

 

 

 

Semua ada, siapa silap??? Jangan tunding jari sahaja! Salah tu salah ni! Orang Melayu Islam patut bersatu seperti bangsa lain (walau berlainan parti) untuk kebaikan orang Islam sendiri!

 Bagaimana orang boleh mempersendakan agama Islam dengan menyamakan AidilAdha dengan Halloween?  Ini berlaku di Megamall, Kuantan. Kawasan orang Melayu, Ahli Parlimen pun orang Melayu. 

Ada sesiapa yang ambil peduli? Menteri Besar, AHLI PARLIMEN, ADUN, Kerajaan Tempatan, Orang ramai??? Semua tak ambil peduli!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jawapan : Tak Tahu, Terlepas Pandang, Bukan kawalan saya dll.... Ini jawapan biasa, jawapan yang dengan seperti ni!!!!

Bila dah sedar kesilapan baru ambil tindakan. Si pembuat MINTA MAAF. Kes tutup! Lagi satu tamparan kat orang Islam.

NILAH AKIBAT ORANG ISLAM SUKA BERBALAH. PARTI NI PARTI TU!! BANGSA LAIN AMBIL KESEMPATAN, SEMUA DIKOMERSIALKAN!!

PEMANDU PEMANDU PALING BODOH DI WANGSA MELAWATI!!

 

 

Dihadapan SMK WANGSA MELAWATI berlaku sebegini rupa! Mak bapa, cikgu cikgu yang tidak endahkan papan tanda "NO ENTRY" di depan sekolah. Sudah lebih 10 tahun perkara ini berlaku, sudah dibawa ke peringkat pengurusan sekolah, sudah ke PIBG tapi perkara sama berlaku!

Jangan harap ini berlaku di Damansara atau Bangsar!

Yang pasti di kawasan ni "low class" kategori, kasta rendah dimana tiada siapa yang ambil peduli. Pengetua pun tak kisah apatah lagi guru guru!

Yang paling sedih jawapan : DAH BIASA..... atau...AWAK TAK PERNAH BUAT MACAM NI?

Ni lah, yang mengajar anak anak supaya jadi rakyat yang patuh pada ibubapa, ikut teladan, dan beretika! Kalaulah pihak guru macam ni macam mana nak harap murid jadi baik!

BILA ADA TRAJEDI ATAU PERKARA BURUK BERLAKU, MUNGKIN BARU NAK SEDAR!!!

Diharap janganlah sampai ke tahap tersebut!!!

Yang pasti, kalau nak tangkap gambar, lebih 50 pemandu kereta sehari buat kerja BODOH ni!!!

 

 

 

 

ANOTHER UNIVERSITY RANKING.....MALAYSIA???

While flipping thru the news pages in the NZ Herald, I bumped into the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.



Another one? Well, I can't help it but went thru the WEBSITE.

I did not pay much attention to how the universities were ranked as I was more interested to see where our universities are placed in this table. I CAN'T FIND ANY IN THE TOP 400 UNIVERSITIES! NONE! ZIPPED!
Don't tell me we are that bad!

I don't know how bad is the higher education system here but I am pretty sure something need to be seriously looked at and I doubt that the new education plan will ever work!

Moreover, friends around me are starting to send their kids elsewhere. One is sending both his kids to Global Indian School in KL, preparing them for higher education overseas, while my cousin sends his children to a private school here and also in Melbourne. My neighbour registered her grandson with Mutiara International Grammar School (he's only 5!!!!).
Personally, my eldest daughter is in Monash University Sunway. This because she can't fit into the current local education system!
So, THINK ABOUT IT!!!
